Sure is nice diving with perfect eyes!
These were taken off of the Islands of Saipan and Tinian, just north of Guam, on my first dive trip after my LASIK surgery.
One is a Japanese float plane, another is my buddy by what we thought was a tank (but in reality was a bulldozer), and then I found two American helmets and some Coke bottles dated 1944 and 1945.
Thought you might like them since you said you are a diver, too. I enjoyed the trip a lot more without having to worry about my lenses. Thanks again for a job well done!

Dear Dr. Rende,
I am writing to thank you and your staff for freeing me of glasses at last! I had been considering LASIK for quite some time and one of the reasons I hesitated was because I did not know where to go for the procedure. I ended up selecting you after reviewing your web site. I am so glad that I made that decision!
I had visited about half a dozen sites and was considering a very well known and (I guess) somewhat prestigious office. This particular office does a lot of advertising and is located in an expensive part of town. The exact same procedure with their physicians was going to cost considerably more money. I'm a Senior V.P. at an Advertising Agency and I knew that I would be paying not just for the procedure, but for their ad campaign and swanky office space.
Additionally, I was very impressed that all of my care would be with you personally. In today's medical environment, that is rare indeed.

WOW! That’s what I have to about the results of my eye surgery. I interviewed five surgeons in the San Diego area and you were clearly the perfect Doctor for my needs.
I am so grateful for all the time you spent with me answering my questions and creating a comfortable environment for me to go ahead with this surgery.
My goal through surgery was to have enough clarity of vision to not have to wear glasses while participating in my favorite sports, most specifically racquetball, skiing, and mountain biking.
What I got was 20/20 vision in one eye and 20/25 in the other. I can now participate fully in my life without corrective lenses. I am thrilled!!!
Since my surgery I have begun racing mountain bikes competitively, have taken up SCUBA diving, and participate in lecture courses where I sit in the back and still see everything and everyone.
I am enclosing a couple of photos. One is from “Ride the Rockies”—a 460 mile road bike race held every June in Colorado that I would not have done prior to surgery –and the other is from the annual Camp Pendelton 10K Mud Run. You can easily see why glasses or contacts don’t work for this run -- we got covered in mud. (I’m in front in the middle.)

Dear Dr. Rende and Staff:
I would like to take a moment to thank you for your professional LASIK surgery.
My vision prior to the procedure was so imperfect that I could not even read the large “E” on the eye chart without correction. Even with correction my poor eyesight and astigmatism deprived me of full peripheral vision and overall clarity, especially notable while enjoying my hobbies of surfing and martial arts. Although I could see the world with contacts and glasses, I can see it with a whole new perspective using my newly acquired sight.
I am very thankful you took your time with my case, offered up a realistic prognosis as to what I may expect, and delivered a seamless surgery. I am very pleased with the results and highly recommend this procedure and your office to all as the best way to go! Thanks again.

I wanted a position in federal law enforcement, but I didn’t meet the minimum vision requirements of 20/200 uncorrected. I could only see 20/400, so I decided to have LASIK surgery. It was a great success! My vision is now 20/15 in each eye without correction. I am very pleased with the results.
