The Eye Center is the premier ophthalmic practice in San Diego's East
County.
Conveniently located just one block from Interstate 8 in El Cajon,
we serve all of San Diego county and, indeed, have many patients from
Orange County and even out-of-state.
Established over 38 years ago by Dr. Cody Smith, The Eye Center blends modern
technology, highly trained specialists, and good old-fashioned doctor-patient care.

Dr. Douglas Miller has been the director of The Eye Center since 1992. As
a board certified ophthalmologist and Cornea Specialist, Dr. Miller's fellowship
training qualifies him as an expert in the field of refractive surgery.
Dr. Miller has performed refractive surgery in a conservative manner for
over ten years. Furthermore, his expertise allows him to consult on difficult
cases referred by other ophthalmologists in the community.
The Eye Center is fully equipped with state-of-the-art technology and our
knowledgeable staff can answer all your questions.
